Garaj Nights show what’s hip & happening in Istanbul. Famous actors, musicians, writers and artists created Istanbul’s first venue for contemporary theatre, dance and music with their own hands. The turned an old garage into the vibrant centre of cultural Istanbul, with a program of international appeal. In Garaj Nights the artists of Garajistanbul (including Memet Ali Alabora and Mustafa Avkiran) present the story of Garajistanbul and recreate the ambiance of the metropolis on the Bosphorus in a club program with theatre, dance, poetry, fashion and finger food.
Garajistanbul collaborates closely with the Dutch organisation Kosmopolis, which employs the power of art and culture to bring people closer together, both in the Netherlands and abroad. This year Garajistanbul presents itself in the Netherlands for the first time at three Garaj Nights in the cities of Rotterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag.
